9th Grandbaby

Welcome Saint Steven Westbrook 8lbs 11 oz.

πŸ’• The hardest thing about serving a mission is missing loving on my kids & grandkids! 😭I believe in the principle of compensation - how the Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. πŸ™πŸ»That which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be added unto them in His own way. 🫢🏻From my experience His way pays you back 100 times better.😊 So we wait a little longer to meet our newest grandson and continue to serve with …..most of our hearts πŸ˜‰ in Argentina.

100 Missionaries

When we started the mission over a year ago we only hav 40 missionaries all from Argentina.  Today we have 100!!!  It is so exciting to have enough missionaries to have a companionship in each unit of our mission!  We now have missionaries from Argentina, Peru, Honduras, Ecuador, Brazil, Chile, Guatemala & the United States!  What a blessing they are to us and to the Lord!   I am always so sad when we say goodbye to our Los Fieles but then the next day the Los Refuerzos arrive and we are so excited to watch our mission grow and get to know these great young people who have decided to serve the Lord!

Welcome Hermanas Winward, Montiel, Balarezo, Parker, Shumard, Jones and Elders Lindstrom, May, Wixom, Strapasson, Lima & Castro!

Rincon de los Sauces

On Sunday we attended the dedication of a new meeting place for the Rincon de los Sauces branch.  It is in the Northern part of our mission and takes about 3 1/2 hours to get there.  Not much between Neuquen and Rincon.  It is an oil town.  Everyone there came from other places just to work in the oilfields.  What an incredible experience.  The branch is only 10 years old.  They started with these two families and have now grown to over 30 members.  It is a small building but very nice.  They had all the first members of the branch bear their testimonies and it was so cool to hear their stories of how the branch was started.  We ended the meeting by singing the Spirit of God and there was not a dry eye in the congregation.  What a blessing to finally have a beautiful place to meet each week.   What strong members in this area of Argentina.

We also said goodby to two wonderful missionaries. Elder Maciel and Elder Zamarripa have been great leaders for us in our mission.  Elder Zamarripa has been our Assistant for the last 6 months and has been such a great teacher, example and leader to our mission.  I think he was born a missionary.   He served so faithfully.   He gave one last training to all the new missionaries just minutes before he left on his plane to go home.  What a blessing he has been to our mission!
