Our Family

President Pennington and I both grew up in Grants Pass, OR. At the time President Pennington served a mission in Arequipa, Peru, I was working at a pool supply store for his parents. Despite my lack of interest in him at the time, his mom requested I write to him. I wished I had put a little more effort into my letters when he got home. He was much cuter than I remembered. Luckily, we put the dull letters behind us, fell in love, and created a wonderful life together.

We were married in the Oakland, CA temple. President Pennington received his college degree from BYU. We then moved to Portland, OR where he completed medical school at OHSU. Memphis, TN was our next stop for an orthopedic surgery residency at the Campbell Clinic. After years of training we finally settled down in northern Idaho where we raised our family of 5 kids.

We have lived in Moscow, ID for 24 years. We have 4 daughters, 1 son and 8 grandchildren.

In addition to being an orthopedic surgeon, President Pennington is also a pilot, loves to golf, and is constantly seen working on some sort of project. I am a quilter, biker & love to play with my grandkids. I'm the happiest on days at our lake house, driving my kids and grandkids around on the boat for hours.

Our oldest daughter is Jackie. She and Justin have four children: Addison, Weston, Paden, and Liam. Jackie and Justin were married in the Salt Lake Temple, and both graduated from Utah State. Justin served a mission in Brazil, and is now a corporate pilot. Jackie is going to start nursing school in the fall. 

The Schwartz Family

Next is our daughter Lauren. She and David were married in the San Diego, CA temple after meeting in organic chemistry class. They both graduated from BYU, and now have three children, Dru, Estella, and Scarlett. David served his mission in Montana and is an Orthopedic Surgeon. 

The Parker Family

Our son Derek is married to Sabrina. They were married in the Laie, HI temple. Derek graduated from Utah State and is a Pilot for Skywest airlines. Sabrina graduated from BYU-Hawaii, served a mission in Poland and is a social worker for CPS. They are the parents to a kitty named Donavon. 

The Pennington Family

Next is our Daughter Savannah, she and Jake were married in the Provo City Center temple. They just had their first baby, Cash. Savannah is a stay at home mom taking care of Cash and manages their rental properties. Jake graduated from BYU, served a mission in Korea and is part owner of a tech company in Lehi, UT. 

The Westbrook Family

Our baby is Grace and she is a Junior at the University of Utah. She is on the executive board for her sorority Chi Omega as the new member educator, and works part time at Lululemon.
