Ushuaia

We attended a seminar for Mission Presidents in Ushuaia in October.  It is always such a great conference!  We learn so much from the other Mission Presidents and from our Leaders.   During our week of instruction we were able to have a zoom meeting with Elder Ballard & Elder Renlund.  It was amazing!  Elder Ballard  was telling the story of when his Grandfather blessed
Argentina for missionary work.  The stories he told were so fun to hear
about the early days of the church in Argentina,
But at the end when he bore his testimony WOW!  The spirit was so strong and there was no
denying he was an Apostle of the Lord!

We are here doing the Lords work!  He told us there is power in reading the Book of Mormon every day.  Don’t miss a day!  It would fortify us more than anything else we could do!  He blessed us as mission leaders with great blessings and told us they understand the sacrifices we are making and that they pray for us and our families💕 but at the end he blessed our families to recieve
the righteous desires of their hearts!  🙏🏻I loved that!  It was so powerful!
This is hard to be so far away from family,
but that’s what we do….. Serve the Lord wherever he needs us!

Ushuaia is at the very bottom tip of Argentina and a beautiful place.   We are in meetings for all but one morning.  For that morning we took a tour around some of the National park there.

this was the location I sent to my kids!  I am the blue dot!   The white is Antartica.

Miracle in the Rain

We traveled a lot this last transfer.  It felt like we were always on the road.  We had Stake Conferences, Zone conferences and interviews.  Our mission is growing a lot each transfer so we are busily trying to get Pensions (apartments) ready for missionaries.  This is a picture someone took of the route to Bariloche.  I loved it.  It really is a pretty drive.

My missionary story is about a couple of Elders who were taking their turn answering messages on our Facebook pages.  They were talking to a man who was very interested but they never found out where he lived and the next companionship took over where they left off.  We have 4 Facebook pages for different areas of our mission, so he could have lived 100's of miles away.  Their turn to answer messages ended and they headed out into the street.  It started pouring rain.  It was raining so hard they were looking to  find somewhere to get out of it and wait for the storm to pass.  They saw a man with a covered patio and asked if they could wait under the patio covering.   Would you believe He was the same man they had just been talking to on Facebook.  He is now learning more about the gospel!  Sometimes I just look up to heaven and smile and say
 "Thank you".

We said goodbye to our Los Fieles!  Elder Valdez, Elder Casapia, Hermana Meza, Hermana Gander, Hermana Chavez, Hermana Borges and Hermana Meek.

We welcomed 12 Los Refuerzos!  Hermana Orme, Hermana Watford, Hermana Roberts, Hermana Mendoza, Hermana Ferriera, Hermana Orellana, Hermana Napoleon, Elder Sanders and another Elder Sanders, Elder Mcphie and Elder Rice.
