The Lord is in the details

One of my favorite things about being a Mission Leader is hearing all the great conversion stories of our friends.  I love how the Lord is in all the details.

This last week we met a friend named Juan Carlos Sagredo.   He was working in his yard one day as the Elders walked by.  They of course stopped and talked to him.  At the end of the conversation they told him that they were Missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and were here talking to people about Christ and that they had a book that was another testament of Christ ...... The Book of Mormon.  He told them MANY years ago he found one in the garbage and had been reading it.  He knew it wasn't the Bible but loved it and knew it was from God.  He always wondered about it.  He and his children continued to learn about the gospel with the missionaries and since he isn't married he has to wait to be baptized but his 2 older boys were baptized.  He was very emotional that day at the baptism and is waiting for his turn to be baptized also.   The Book of Mormon is the word of God.  I love this story and the example of the power the Book of Mormon has.

Also we had another transfer.  We said goodbye to 2 Los Fieles and welcomed 7 Los Refuerzos!  Such a bittersweet time.  We love our missionaries and miss them so much when they leave but are excited to get to know our new missionaries!
